Atomics.exchange()
The static Atomics.exchange() method stores a given value
at a given position in the array and returns the old value at that position. This atomic
operation guarantees that no other write happens between the read of the old value and
the write of the new value.
Syntax
Atomics.exchange(typedArray, index, value)
Parameters
typedArray-
An integer typed array. One of
Int8Array,Uint8Array,Int16Array,Uint16Array,Int32Array,Uint32Array,BigInt64Array, orBigUint64Array. index-
The position in the
typedArrayto exchange avalue. value-
The number to exchange.
Return value
The old value at the given position
(typedArray[index]).
Exceptions

Throws a
TypeError, iftypedArrayis not one of the allowed integer types. -
Throws a
RangeError, ifindexis out of bounds in thetypedArray.
